WMU Athletics to Hold Football Night in Kalamazoo

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - WMU and the Bronco football program is announcing "Football Night in Kalamazoo," which will take place 6:30-9 p.m. on June 7 within the Bill Brown Alumni Football Center and Waldo Stadium.  Attendees will have a chance to be a part of the WMU football experience and meet former Broncos and current NFL stars Jason Babin, EJ Biggers, Louis Delmas, Greg Jennings and Tony Scheffler.

Fans will enter through the Next Level Lobby in the Bill Brown Alumni Football Center and will receive guided tours through the entire Bronco football experience from scouting the opponent's film, to going to the team room to break down practice footage, to taking the field through the team tunnel after receiving a pre-game pep talk from head coach Bill Cubit.  Fans will experience the pre-game adrenaline rush with sounds of the crowd, WMU Football's entrance song and the sound of, "Hear Come Your Broncos" over the stadium sound system.

Once on the field, fans will have the opportunity to meet Babin (Tennessee Titans), Biggers (Tampa Bay Buccaneers), Delmas (Detroit Lions), Jennings (Green Bay Packers) and Scheffler (Detroit Lions) during an on-field autograph session.  WMU Athletics will provide a commemorative poster and markers for autographs.

WMU Athletics is very excited to welcome back these five Broncos to Waldo Stadium.  All five were drafted within the last seven seasons and include the program's only first round selection, two NFL All-Rookie Team selections, a pair of NFL All-Pros and one Super Bowl champion.

Food and beverages will be available on the field to all attendees and a photo station will be set up for Bronco fans of all ages to have their picture taken in authentic WMU football game gear.

Each tour group will be guided by two current WMU football student-athletes and many of the stops along the tour will be led by current members of the Bronco coaching staff.

Guided tours will begin at 6:30 p.m. and each group will consist of 20-30 fans in order for all attendees to get the full experience while also having ample to time to move through the autograph line and have something to eat before Coach Cubit and other current and former Broncos address the crowd on the field at 8 p.m.  The last tour will begin at 7:25 p.m.  Fans arriving after that time will be sent directly to the autograph line.

The WMU Bookstore will also have a merchandise station set up for fans to get their hands on the latest Bronco gear for the upcoming football season.
