KALAMAZOO, Mich.- The Bronco women's tennis program has announced that
Caroline Aleck (Ada, Mich./Forest Hills Northern) has signed a National Letter of Intent with Western Michigan. Aleck will join the Brown & Gold in 2011-12.
"Caroline will be a great contributor to our program," said WMU head coach Betsy Kuhle. "She particularly will step right in at doubles and help us. She's definitely a diamond in the rough."
Aleck played No. 2 singles her first two years in high school, advancing to the Division 2 state semifinals as a freshman and winning the state championship as a sophomore, finishing the season undefeated at 34-0. Last year as a junior, she moved up to No. 1 singles and posted a 32-2 record, reaching the state semifinals.
Aleck has led Forest Hills Northern to three team state championships, earning three O-K Blue-Rainbow Conference nods and three regional titles along the way. She was an all-state singles selection in 2010 and enters her senior year ranked as the No. 13 senior in the state of Michigan and No. 35 in the Great Lakes Region by tennisrecruiting.net.
