Ben Armer Earns Second MAC West Special Teams POTW of Season

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Junior Ben Armer set a new personal best with the longest punt of his career, and the third of over 60 yards, as well as the setting a season-high mark for punting average.  In doing so, Armer becomes the first Bronco this season to win multiple Mid-American Conference West Division Special Teams Player of the Week.

Armer had three punts of over 50 yards, including a career long 65-yard punt in a 33-13 loss to Idaho.  The Janesville, Wis., native averaged 49.1 yards per punt on seven punts, pinning Idaho inside its own 20-yard line three times. On those three punts Armer forced Idaho to start at its own 10-yard line twice and at its own seven yard-line once.  The Vandals went three-and-out on two of those drives and were forced to punt on all three possessions.

Armer earned  MAC West Special Teams POTW during the opening week of the season after matching his career long punt with a 62-yard punt against Michigan State.
