SERIES HISTORY
Western Michigan trails in the all-time series with Miami, 22-31, and has dropped the last three to the RedHawks. WMU's last win over Miami was in the first round of the MAC Tournament during the 2006-07 season (74-58). Miami won last year's meeting in Kalamazoo, 69-63. The Broncos last win in Oxford was a 10-point, 70-60, victory on Feb. 8, 2006.

GETTING BACK TO WINNING WAYS
Western Michigan put a stop to a nine-game losing streak Wednesday, defeating Ohio 51-47 at home. It was the first MAC win of the season for the Broncos, who hadn't won a conference outing since Feb. 14, 2009.

WHAT HAPPENED LAST GAME
Sophomore Miame Giden shot 7-for-7 in the second half, on her way to a game-high 21 points, leading WMU past Ohio, 51-47. It was the fewest points surrendered this season by the Broncos. Ebony Cleary added 10 points, while Brenna Banktson had eight and Kemmy Dominique had a solid stat line of seven points, seven rebounds, four assists, three steals and one blocked shot. The Broncos shot 56.5% in the second half and 46.7% for the game.

IN GOOD COMPANY
Of Western Michigan's 21 1,000-point career scorers, only eight averaged more points per game in their second season than current Bronco Miame Giden. Giden averages 15.0 points per game as a sophomore and is over two-thirds of the way to 1,000 career points with 702 and counting.

QUITE OFFENSIVE
Over half of Ebony Cleary's rebounds this season are on the offensive glass. She leads the team averaging 7.2 rebounds in 12 games played. Of her 86 total rebounds, 44 have come on the offensive end. She shoots the highest FG percentage on the team at 53.5 %.

DWYER FROM DISTANCE
With 105 three-pointers, senior Molly Dwyer is currently tied for seventh on the all-time career three-pointers made list. With five more, Dwyer will slide into fifth place. Casey Rost (2001-06) is WMU's all-time leader in career three's with a MAC record 280.

Notes: Miami is coming off a 69-54 home win over Ball State Wednesday, led by a 23-point effort from 5-11 sophomore guard Maggie Boyer. Miami is 4-6 at Millet Hall this season.

Four of Miami's six wins this season have come in conference play. The RedHawks have also defeated Buffalo (62-55), Ohio (66-58) and Northern Illinois (96-51).

As a team, Miami averages 65.9 ppg and shoots 39.1 percent from the floor. Defensively, Miamie allows 72.3 ppg. Courtney Osborn and Maggie Boyer are the team's top scorers, averaging 18.4 and 10.6 ppg, respectively. Osborn is a threat from deep, sinking 59 of the team's 118 three-pointers.
