AAFL Team Michigan Hosts League Tryout at WMU Seelye Center in Kalamazoo Thursday, Dec. 20

KALAMAZOO, Mich. ? Team Michigan will host it's second league tryout this Thursday, Dec. 20 at the Donald J. Seelye Center at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

This is an invite only tryout and a few notable former Broncos like Ryan Cubit, Quarterback, Kendrick Mosely, Wide Receiver, Jason Malloy, Linebacker, Charles Missant, Center and Robert Sanford, Running Back, will be in attendance. University of Michigan great Tai Streets, Coach Tyrone Wheatley and Michigan State great Eric Knott, will also participate for their shot at joining the new league.

Team Michigan taps into the passion of College football fans and develop a rich history of family-focused professional football utilizing the wealth of quality football players from across the State of Michigan. Other stars from the Big Ten region will be attending the invitational workout at WMU. Players from schools like Notre Dame and Illinois will create a great team to compete against AAFL Teams Florida, Tennessee, Alabama, Arkansas and Texas.

Chris Horn, Team President, Head Coach, John Fontes, and assistant coaches, notably Tyrone Wheatley, have been tirelessly working to assemble the coaching staff and recruitment of players for the development of Team Michigan in preparation for the 2008 inaugural season. Coach Fontes and players will be available for the media at 2:30pm Thursday afternoon. Any media outlet wishing to get footage of the work out can do so between noon and 2 p.m., but please remember NO INTERVIEWS will be conducted until 2:30 p.m.

All six teams will train in Mobile, Alabama with the first full squad practice of the AAFL's inaugural training camp being held on March 13, 2008. Practices will continue through Saturday, March 29. All practices will be open to the public.

The All American Football League (AAFL) teams will play 10 games, beginning in April 2008. The spring schedule is designed to satisfy fans who hunger for quality football between the NFL and college seasons. The League's teams are located in avid college football markets representing Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Michigan, Tennessee and Texas.
