KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan women's basketball team got together Sunday afternoon to celebrate all the memories and accomplishments for the 2015-16 version of the Broncos.
Speakers at the banquet included head coach Shane Clipfell, WMU Athletic Director Kathy Beauregard, Bronco Radio Network play-by-play voice Garrison Diehl as well as all three assistant coaches Rick Albro, Tangela Smith and Cetera Washington.
"This team came together a long time ago and we had to learn a lot about each other," Clipfell said during his speech. "We talk how we are a family all the time and every team and every coach tries to say that about their own school, but I really believe we are a family."
Clipfell presented the seniors, Jessica Jessing, Alex Morton and Deborah Meeks, with their framed jersey's while talking individually about each one. The night was concluded by a highlight presentation of the season involving the underclassmen giving thanks to the seniors and some highlights of this season.
