Anderson, Dotson, Dulaney and Gaines Named First Team All-MAC

CLEVELAND -- After helping Western Michigan to a fifth place finish and winning event titles at the 2016 Indoor Mid-American Conference Championships, Jordan Anderson, Sarita Dotson, Naiomi Dulaney and Ayiana Gaines have been named First Team All-MAC.

All four combined in WMU's 4x400-meter relay MAC title after running a time of 3:40.27. Gaines and Dotson also won individual event titles with Dotson taking the 200-meter dash win after a WMU record-breaking time of 23.73 seconds.

Gaines repeated as the 400-meter dash champion, also breaking the WMU record after running 53.76 seconds on the 300-meter track. For her domination in the 400 and help in the 4x400 she was also named the MAC Championship Most Outstanding Track Performer.

This is the second First Team All-MAC indoor honors for Gaines and the first for Dotson, Dulaney and Anderson.

To be named First Team All-MAC a student-athlete must finish first in any individual or relay event at the MAC Championship. Second Team All-MAC honors goes to those that finish in second place.
