THE TIP-OFF
Western Michigan travels to East Division opponent Bowling Green for the 12th game of Mid-American Conference play and for the second meeting with the Falcons this year. BGSU edged WMU in Kalamazoo on Jan. 26 in the first meeting this season, 79-78.

> After playing six of its first eight MAC games at home during the month of January, Western Michigan will play six of eight games in February on the road. WMU heads to Kent State on Tuesday and returns home to face rival Central Michigan next Saturday, Feb. 20.

> As a team, Western Michigan is averaging 73.2 points per game overall and defensively allowing 73.5 ppg. In MAC games, WMU is averaging 71.6 ppg and allowing 74.5 ppg.

> The Broncos are looking to break out of a three-game losing skid and for their first road win of the season.

WILDER TOP SCORER IN THE MAC
WMU sophomore point guard Thomas Wilder leads the MAC in scoring during conference contests, averaging 21.2 ppg in league play. In all games combined, Wilder is averaging 18.4 ppg, which is second most in the MAC.

> Wilder has scored in double digits in every game but three (vs. Liberty - 6 pts; vs. Marygrove - 8 pts; vs. Northern Illinois - 9 pts).

> Last year as a freshman Wilder averaged 7.2 ppg.

CLOSE LOSSES
Eleven of WMU's 15 losses have been by 10 points or less, including three in overtime (IPFW, Kent State and Ball State). Nine of WMU's losses have been by six points or less, seven games by four points or less and two lone-point losses (BGSU, 79-78; Miami 45-44).

DUGAN DOING WORK ON THE GLASS
Freshman 7-0 center Seth Dugan is coming off two solid rebounding games. Dugan pulled down six boards at Ball State and had a team-high eight rebounds against Miami.

WINNING NUMBERS
In its nine wins this season, WMU is shooting the ball an average of 49.3 percent from the floor and 44.9 percent from behind the arc. WMU has dominated the boards in game won, averaging 9.6 rebounds more per contest than its opponents (38.9 rpg vs. 29.3 rpg). WMU is outscoring opponents by 13.7 points a game in wins (84.3 ppg vs. 70.7 ppg).

WMU - BGSU SERIES HISTORY
This will be the 117th meeting between the Broncos and the Falcons, with Bowling Green owning a 70-46 advantage in the all-time series with WMU. The Falcons have won each of the last five meetings between the teams, with the Broncos' last win in the series coming in the 2011 MAC Tournament quarterfinal round. WMU head coach Steve Hawkins is 11-6all-time against BGSU.

BOWLING GREEN SCOUTING REPORT
Bowling Green is led by first-year head coach Michael Huger. Huger played collegiately at BGSU (1989-93) and has spent the last four seasons as an assistant coach at University of Miami (Fla.)

> BGSU is 4-7 in MAC play and has lost four in a row, most recently coming off a 68-63 loss to Akron at home on Tuesday. BG's last win was its 79-78 victory over WMU on Jan. 26.

> The Falcons are 6-6 at Stroh Arena this season, but only 1-5 against conference opponents at home.

> Senior 6-7 forward Spencer Parker and 6-2 junior guard Zack Denny are the team's top two scorers, averaging 13.9  ppg (14.5 MAC) and 12.5 ppg (11.4 MAC), respectively. As a team, the Falcons are averaging 71.8 ppg and allowing 70.3ppg. During MAC play, Bowling Green is averaging 70.5 ppg and allowing 73.0 ppg.
