Slubowski Named INCH Freshman All-American

KALAMAZOO -- Western Michigan goalie Frank Slubowski has been named a Freshman All-American by Inside College Hockey after the news organization released its All-American teams on Monday evening.

Slubowski finished the season with a record of 17-11-4, helping the Broncos to their second CCHA Tournament Championship in program history. The Prince Rupert, B.C., native boasted a WMU single-season record 2.03 goals against average and a .911 save percentage.

The CCHA Tournament Most valuable Player was recently named CCHA Gongshow Gear Rookie of the Month for March/April, earning his second monthly honors of the season.

Slubowski, who was also named to College Hockey News' All-Freshman team, joins Dan DeKeyser and Chase Balisy as recent INCH Freshman All-Americans, after both recieved the honors last season.
